Marou
Vietnamese Matcha & Coconut White Chocolate
The starting point was matcha itself: a powder that feels soft and ceremonial, almost fragile in the hand, yet carries an intensity of flavor and color that's impossible to ignore. That contradiction became the heart of the concept, how do you design something that feels delicate and quiet, but unmistakably strong?
the output
The answer came through gesture. Instead of illustrating matcha, the packaging becomes a trace of it — sweeping strokes of green powder move across the white surface, as if the ingredient itself had just been brushed onto the pack. The movement gives the design energy and a sense of hand, while the negative space keeps it airy and restrained. Marou's signature gold frame and typography anchor the composition, keeping the brand's identity intact while letting the new flavor claim its own presence on the shelf.
The result is a pack that holds both qualities at once , soft and bold, minimal and expressive — much like the ingredient it celebrates.
